Laurie McKinney – Winner of the DCEF 2016 Morgan Family Mini Grant

DCEF is pleased to announce Laurie McKinney, a teacher from North Davidson High School, as the winner of The Dr. Lon Morgan Family Mini-Grant.   Ms. McKinney submitted her winning project:  “Green School Project-Year 2 (Student Action)”.

A surprise presentation was given at her school in October, 2016. She received a $300.00 check, a certificate and a letter of congratulations from the Davidson County Education Foundation.  The DCEF Mini-Grant Committee, along with The Dr. Lon Morgan Family, read the applications and made the final selection.

Our sincere thanks to The Dr. Lon Morgan Family for their generous donation and continued support toward DCEF and the teachers of the Davidson County Public Schools. Dr. Lon Morgan is a current DCEF Board Member.
